This is a very heavy, 13" diameter serving platter. The sides curve upward, almost like a shallow bowl. This would be great for showing off your home baked Christmas goodies!! There is a long line that looks like a scratch running down the inside of the plate. The line is smooth, except for a flat rough spot. (You can see the worst part of this in the last picture.) In all the time I've had it I never noticed it until I went to take these pictures. It must have been like this when I bought it. It could probably be polished out. There are also a couple scratches. When viewed from the back, the marks aren't noticable at all. The box is sturdy, although it has some worn spots.
